I was asked this morning by a fellow dog walker what I felt made a good Pet care Business. Very interesting question I responded and I explained the following –
Loving Animals – this has to come first, its a calling and a way of life, not a job. Those who see Petcare as a job simply don’t get it and in my opinion won’t succeed.
Experience – there simply is no substitute for experience of dealing with animals, caring for them and understanding the physcology of those in your care. At Kerry Pritchard Pet care we have over 20 years experience caring for animals.
Standards – fully insured, pet 1st aid qualified, DBS checked, it’s important to meet the standard expected of you and to try and exceed that standard at all times.
Flexibility – offering total flexibility in terms of the days and hours your pets are cared for. I appreciate how busy you are and I always try and fit in with what suits you best. With this I promise no hidden charges and no extra costs.
Consistency – your pet will only ever be cared for by myself or my husband, allowing a sense of familiarity, trust and routine to develop.
One to one time spent with your pet – I never over commit in terms of the amount of animals I care for, ensuring they receive my undivided care and attention, their well being and happiness is my primary concern at all times.
Homely environment – I try hard to promote a ‘home away from home’, making your pet’s transition to my care as smooth as possible if they are boarding with me.
Cost – My costs are negotiable and I guarantee not to be beaten by local providers.
Trust – We keep animals and we love animals, you can be assured and trust that we will provide the best care possible for the ones you love.
The list of course goes on and on, but it made for an interesting conversation, I hope today’s blog makes for interesting reading.
